  1. Four files are included in this Stuffit File.  They are:

  3. - 1 - CURSOR MOVING "Both Hands" WATCH -
  4. Have you spent hours wondering why BOTH hands on the 
  5. infamous "watch cursor" don't turn, when you know you've been
  6. waiting for hours?  (wll maybe not hours but...)  Well now they will
  7. both turn.  Neato!
  8.  
  9. -2  - ICON for SYSTEM FOLDER -
  10. I think mine is neater then Apple's, but it's all a matter of taste!

  12. -3 - NEW FILE FOLDER ICON -
  13. Puts a shadow around the left and bottom of the folder, gives the illusion of depth.

  15. -4 the text file that you are reading!

  17. INSTALLATION:
  18.  
  19. Use ResEdit 1.2d0 or newer and install only in Finder 6.1 or newer.   Make a copy of the Finder 
  20. file that resides in your System folder.   Work with this copy only!   Open the new file 
  21. [CURSOR MOVING"Both Hands" WATCH], copy then paste this into the Cursor resource in your 
  22. Finder file.  Close the Cursor resource in the Finder.  Open the ICON# resource in the Finder, then
  23. open my file [ICON for SYSTEM FOLDER], copy, then paste into the ICON# resource in the Finder.  Do
  24. the same with the [NEW FILE FOLDER ICON].  Close everything up and save as indicated.  Quit ResEdit!
  25. To place the new Finder in your System Folder, you will have to reboot with a second StartUp Disk, 
  26. as the Finder cannot be replaced on a current StartUp Disk.

  28. Good Grief, this sounds complicated, but it isn't.  If you've never used ResEdit this is a good time 
  29. to get some practice.  It won't bite, just use caution and work on backup copies instead of original files.
